25 July 2025 English Prayer Meeting Summary
7-8am PDT
Attendees: Yun Bao, Jonathan Ho, Albert Lam, John Lai, Chuanbo Xu
Topic: Vision of Gospel Spreading to the Poors and Needies
Sister Bao presented slides on the missionary trip to Senegal that she and her daughter took with the Christian organization – “Africa Cries Out”. This organization seeks to support the health and welfare of West Africans by increasing local people’s access to health care and education in highly impoverished areas.
They joined the medical missionary group with christian medical staff, volunteers, and youth from churches in Brazil and America, with medical supplies from the Chinese churches. Senegal is a country in West Africa, with 17 million (2023), diverse ethnic groups. The official language is French, but Wolof is commonly used. The economy is based on agriculture, fishing, mining (per capita GDP ~160th globally). Religion-wise, the country is predominantly Islam (95%), with <3% Christian.
During the mission trip, they visited 6 leprosy villages in the country. One of the villages has a christian church established by a local missionary who lived there over 10 years. Her faithful services in the Lord inspired all of the teams and us as we hear the story.
They cared, provided medical needs, and prayed for the patients. Sister Bao showed pictures of activities and the living conditions over there. It is very touching to see the joy and testimonials from the team and the people there even under such a harsh living condition. They worshiped and praised the God, helped with the essential needs such as providing the rice and food, digging wells. They outreached over 1,000 people during the trip. There’re leprosy patients who turned their hearts to Jesus Christ.
Sister Bao shared that she was most impressed by the power of prayer during the trip. SHe said that there were people with demons being expelled during the prayer and the lamped people started to walk normally after the prayer.
She used the following verse to call for action: Matthew 9:37b-38 “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
We then shared and prayed for the vision. Dr. Ho shared that he will start his next medical mission trip to BIN (Bangladesh, India and Nepal) in September. Rev. Lam shared that his church has set up 3-person prayer groups to pray for the mission field. He also described the local muslim communities in San Diego and Rev. Lai responded with enthusiasm to lead a local mission team to visit there some day. Rev. Lai shared about his mission trip to Egypt at the beginning of the year. Chuanbo mentioned about the OMF brother he is in contact with calling for missionary support to their work in Africa.
Meeting adjourns.

Summary of sharing on May 23, 2025 Pastor Raymond Yee
First of all, I am very grateful for the opportunity to share with the saints concerning my 7th Mission Trip to South Korea for an International Prayer Conference for Pastors. After the enriched prayer time, the Lord sent me to Surkhet, Western Nepal for a three day ministry of Preaching at the first annual Pastors and Leadership conference, then taught at Grace Cornerstone Bible Institute for six sessions of Biblical studies. During the visit, I preached at four of the local churches that my host , Missionary Bal Das has founded by the grace of God. All together I preached fourteen sermons which I have never delivered before! It’s all because our great and awesome God in Christ!
Finally I went to Bangladesh for the first time along with my host Pastor Bishno Roy to pay an official visit to my church, Valley Bible Church of Hercules, CA of one of our supporting missionary, Dr. John Sircar, who is the founder and president of Bangladesh Theological Seminary in Chittagong. I spent seven days there to visit a group of business men who are Hindu and Muslims, and reach out to an Hindu farming community where I preached on Matthew 13, the parable of the Sowers! All the adults and young people that attended were willing to believe in Jesus Christ our Savior and one of the man who is an alcoholic!
Upon the last day’s morning, my friend asked me to take a walk near his house. We were invited by two Hindu families for tea and were able to share the gospel with them and pray for them. The head of the first family who opened his heart for the Lord! Amen Hallelujah
Then we met a young man to pray for his study and future. At last, we came across a Muslim farmer who asked where I came from and I shared the gospel with him and he was willing to receive Jesus Christ into his life!
Praise the Lord for all that He did through me and have the privilege to collect some of the Harvest! Truly, as the Lord has said that “The Harvest is plentiful! Ask the Lord of Harvest to send more workers into the fields to collect His Harvest!”
Dear fellow saints and servants of Jesus Christ, will you be willing to hear God’s call and obey to go to make disciples of all nations?
May God and Christ receive all the glory, honor and praise for His Love to all the people in the world!

Summary note from Pastor Raymond Yee 3/28/25
This morning we have 10 people attending the prayer meeting. There were some new comers. Today we have the privilege to hear Dr. Johnathan Ho, M.D. (Surgeon) who is a senior medical missionary of OMF to Hong Kong, China and India for many years, of his career and mission journey!! He was imprisoned by the Indian government for 40 days and was rescued by his mentors.
Dr. John Lai then asked all the participants to introduce themselves.
Then we had Pastor Li from a Chinese church in Indiana to share his mission trip to Nepal in 2023 which resulted in leading many Nepali to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord!
Pastor Himsy and Dr. Ho said closing prayers and finally ended with Dr. Lai telling us about the purpose and mission of this monthly Friday morning prayer meeting.
